Discipline addresses the area between what-we-should-do & what-we-don’t-do. Not, what we-can’t-do but what-we-don’t-do.
Discipline addresses what is possible for us, what we can do, but don’t.
A discipline, properly established in us, confers effectuality in time. That is, what-we-know-we-must-do, we do.
Once our discipline enables us to do what-we-need-to-do, we move towards addressing what-we-can’t-do.
The possible moves towards the impossible, and sometimes the impossible waves back.

Brother Peter’s invitation is on a bookstand, in the study, underneath several of Peter’s works. hoorray! to a PW website, and i'll include the exhibition in the DGM Diary.
off to a Dominican nunnery retreat house in sant cugat, near barcelona, for most of july. a house full of Guitar Craft. the Mother Superior tells us that the nuns pray for us. clearly, they can hear us through the wall, which leaves prayer or abandonment of faith as two clear strategies to deal with what they can hear. we have clearly been sent by God to test their commitment.
on our side of the wall, Silence walks into the dining room clearly & frequently, almost so loud it shouts.
